New pebble drawing

 Hi all,

It's not quite finished yet but here is my latest drawing. I used a black pen and have drawn onto both sides and, no, I don't know what I'm going to do with it when it's finished! I just love to draw and if this lockdown goes on for much longer I might have enough arts and crafts to fill a gallery!!

New lockdown drawing on a wooden pebble!!

 Hi all,

Just a quick share of my latest artwork. I've decided recently to try to stop being glued to my phone of an evening and use my free time a little more wisely to be creative!

I got some wooden pebbles a few weeks ago with a view of doing some pyrography (new treat to myself although my husband refers to it as a posh soldering iron!) I've still not gotten around to the pyrography although I have discovered that I love to draw on them! This is my first attempt, it was drawn completely freehand, I started in the middle with a black pen without sketching it first with pencil and hoped for the best so I'm quite pleased with the results!

Happy Haloween

 Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my monster stone sketch for Halloween, I did this whilst watching a couple of episodes of shameless and thoroughly enjoyed both the drawing and shameless!

 It will also be my daughters 11th Birthday on Halloween so I have a scavenger hunt planned with plenty of treats and a few Halloween tricks....I'm possibly more excited than the kids!!

Website is back online!

Hi all, I hope that you're all well and coping OK considering how crazy everything has been worldwide.

My new sketch

Hi everyone,

Oh dear, it would appear that I haven't posted anything on here since Jan! To say that my blog gets neglected would be a bit of an understatement so thanks so much to everyone for not getting bored of waiting and buggering off!
Anyway, I've been very busy working on commissions which is great but, clearly, not so good for dedicating time to my blog 😆
Here's a sketch I did recently...........

I will make sure that it's not as long till my next blog post. I've been suffering from a case of artists block lately (is that even a thing?!) so need inspiration for my next drawing project. I think that a inspirational museum or gallery trip will be on the agenda very soon!!

Happy New Year!

Hi everyone. I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas.

I'm officially back at work today although, given the nature of being a freelance designer and loving my job, I've been dabbling throughout most of the festive hols! I even treated myself to a lino cutting kit. I used to love to lino printing as a kid so I've been having fun revisiting my childhood! I've only done a couple of prints so far as practise so not confident enough to post them on here yet!! In the meantime, here's one of my sketches that I drew during the holidays.

New floral chart

Hi all,

I hope that you're all ready for Christmas. Or, are you like me and hardly done any prep so far?! 😆
It's so cold here in Leicester, so, as a homage to summer I have downloaded a new floral pattern chart onto my website! This design only uses full cross and backstitch so would be ideal to stitch as a quick project. I think that it would be lovely to stitch for the front cover of a note book but could be stitched for pretty much anything that needs a splash of colour adding to it! I've been snowed under with (summer!) cross stitch commissions recently but I did manage to get a small amount of drawing done for myself yesterday. I thought I would try my hand at drawing onto a stone (as you do!) Here it is,

New zentangle doodle!

Hi everyone, I've been in between drawing projects so started a doodle.....the doodle became my new drawing project!! Here it is......

It started life as a quick pencil sketch then I drew over it with a fine point pen. Here is the first photo I took of it (with my phone so it's rather dark)

I can move on with my life now and start a commission drawing for cross stitch gold!!
